What to Expect at my first Worship Experience

We know coming to a new church for the first time can be a scary or intimidating experience (although we promise we are not  either of those things!!). Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about coming to NACC for the first time.

  • What about my kids? Children of any age are always welcome in worship and we have activity bags for your convenience. But as much as we love having our children with us, we realize our worship is not designed with them in mind so we offer special spaces just for them: Ages birth to four are welcome in our staffed nursery from 9-11:30. Ages K-5 and their families and friends are invited to our summer Playground Church that begins at 11:15 (or after worship) by the church playground each Sunday, weather permitting. There will be a VERY short worship service followed by playground fun until @ noon. Table fellowship is central to our community, so communion will be offered during our worship together.
  • Where do I park? Turn west off National Avenue on Portland, then turn right into our parking lot. Please note that the lot entrance off Linwood on the north side of the building is blocked off.
  • What do I wear? Whatever you want, of course! Many people do wear a business casual type attire, but we just want you to be comfortable and happy. We will not judge you on whatever it is that you want to and choose to wear.
  • How can I get connected? You can find us on Facebook at and sign up for our newsletter here.
